Project: Coastal Zone Management Plan of Faial Island

The Coastal Zone Management Plan (POOC) was approved yesterday at the Governing Council, in the Graciosa Island, where a statutory visit is taking place.

The regime set by POOC Faial is based on a model of management and development of the coastal zone that combines the socioeconomic dynamics with the ecological characteristics regarding the use of resources and management of natural hazards.
