Project: Urban Intervention Programme of the City of Guarda

"Provide cohesion to a «city of neighbourhoods» is the main objective of the Strategic Programme for Guarda´s Urban Regeneration presented last Friday by the Municipality. The intervention will happen at the historic centre and the neighbouring of Luz, Bonfim and Nª Sra. dos Remédios, where there are expected 18 projects of environmental, economic, cultural and social intervention. "This is a matter of raising a «compact city», added Sérgio Barroso, from CEDRU (Centro de Estudos e Desenvolvimento Regional e Urbano) that elaborated the tender action plan, already approved by the Centro Regional Coordination and Development Comission (CCDRC) and that will have a co-financing of six million Euros by ERDF."
